We Need You!

Volunteers are the heart & soul of The SHACK.

Will you help local youth thrive?

Can you give a high five? We need you.

Can you swing a hammer? We need you.

Can you make sound business decisions? We need you.

Volunteers are crucial to every aspect of The SHACK, and we’d love to talk with you about how to get involved.

Adult Supervisors

Our Adult Supervisors are the friendly face youth see when they walk in the door of The SHACK. They provide oversight and security; they mix, mingle, and play games; they are there to listen and provide support when students need to talk; when given opportunity, they share the love of Jesus.

Supervisors typically work one day per week, 2-3 hours per shift. They must be able to pass a background check. Patience, calmness, and firmness help…as does a readiness to laugh, high five, and listen. Training is provided.

Skilled & Unskilled Labor

The SHACK is a busy place, and we’re fast outgrowing our 900-square-foot space. We have purchased a much bigger building (12,000 square feet!), and are working on renovations, but we could use your help!

If you can volunteer skilled labor (construction, plumbing, electrical, etc.), please let us know.

If you want to pitch in wherever needed (swing a hammer, clean, organize, paint, etc.), we’d appreciate your help, too. This is a great opportunity for church and civic groups.

Board Members

Do you have a heart for Jesus and a heart for reaching youth? Do you have a mind for business and the ability to constructively contribute to discussions and decisions?

The SHACK would like to add more members to its Board of Directors. If you are interested in helping The SHACK manage current endeavors and shape future ministry, please let us know.
